Most guitar makers and players believe a heavier solid body guitar has more sustain, but I've not found it to be true.
With those goals and others in mind, Squier will continue to offer products with features and prices that deliver truly excellent value, from beginners to hobbyists to working musicians alike.
If it is not quite old, does it say, 'squier' anywhere on the headstock? Ergo, you should have a serial number letter prefix to go along with that serial number, like an "E" for 80's. The Fender Bullet series of guitars were a limited run in the early 1980's. Depending upon the exact model, and the overall condition, your guitar is worth anywhere from 0 all the way down to 0.
Hence during 1985 to 1987, production of Fender guitars was only done in Japan, while USA Fender created a new factory in California. BUT note that the "E" and "N" series does sometimes appear on "made in Japan" models. In any case, if it says "made in Japan", then it is... Fender has recently (in the last 20 years) introduced LOTS of different serial numbers schemes, depending on the country the Fender was made (USA, Mexico, Japan, Korea, etc). Sorry, since I do not collect new Fenders, I don't really keep track of these things.
Some have the E in front of the serial number, like so:..some don't have the E. Hope this helps & clarifies, kcbuck - Texas Boy That's a fair question, Gama.I changed out the pickguards and knobs on two of my Bullets for aesthetic reasons, but I highly recommend replacing the tuners if you're serious about playing. The neck is very comfortable, the frets were all in excelent shape. In March 1985, CBS sold Fender to a group of private investors. That's why we check and double-check all the data before we offer opinions on data.Where else can you find a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute guitar for under 0.00? If you are worried about the tone, stop worrying, it is there. If you prefer a hefty neck, skip this guitar, but I prefer a trim, easy to play neck, and this is the best I've played. In that case, do you call it a bullet telecaster because of the truss rod adjuster?Does it have 'bullet' emblazoned anywhere on the headstock? Please provide the entire serial number and tell us what condition it is in; 98%, 95%, 90%, 80%, 70%, etc to get a valid value. The confounding part is that serial number; It doesn't match an early 1980's Fender, it correlates to a 1965 Fender.Squier is Fender-sharing its product platforms, trademarks, standards and iconic designs.Squier is the launching pad for beginners, pointing intermediate and advancing guitarists toward their ultimate goal-owning a Fender!I have found some Fender Squier Bullet Strat for around 100 euro. keep in mind it might be a good idea (if you can) to take it to a guitar repair tech to get it set up (straighten the neck, adjust the string height and intonation) A good setup can do wonders for even the cheapest guitar. In the US its about (I bought one and regretted it and wished I would have waited one more week to save), I'm not sure what that is in euros.Do you think this is a good guitar to learn on, primarily only on rocksmith? In general , Squiers are decent guitars and basses. A bad guitar is better than nothing but the tuners can slip and tuning is in Rocksmith. Also the pickups are not great but I'm not sure of the dynamic of that with Rocksmith but I know it does matter to some point.
